“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”
- Henry David Thoreau
We’ve been really busy lately.
Between school, work, life, and holidays, it’s been hectic and stressful - which is okay, but we needed a break. We thought about going on a vacation, but it’s just a little more than we can afford with this year’s plans. That’s okay, though! We can rest anywhere, and nowhere better than right here at home.
So this week, Justin chose to use some of the vacation time he had saved up so we could take to the woods together. We are so fortunate to live in Tennessee, where parks are beautiful and trees are everywhere. We spent nearly every day outside in some way, so I thought I’d share some of the images I got. One day, it snowed. Another day, it was wet and cool, but not icy. It was restful, restorative, and fun.
